Hey, this video was really helpful, because I wasn’t sure it worked. I just found my grandpa’s olympus lying around in my house so I’m gonna buy a flash and film and use it! :)

just picked one up myself and I’m really looking forward to getting some film in it.
Very simple camera to operate but beautiful.

    Excellent video.

I have the opposite problem with the light meter. When I put it on A it won’t shoot even if I’m pointing directly at a lamp.
I just took her out of a drawer at my parents’ after 20 years, I guess it’s just dirty. But what is exactly the part that reads the light? Which part should I clean?

  • hunterguntermunter:

good video. i like how happy you are haha

  • MrHarriet19891:

The aperture blade is working though (or looks like it) thanks for the video

  • MrHarriet19891:

I have an old trip olympus. I am trying to figure out whether or not it works. When I have the setting on the red A aperture setting the red tongue comes up in the viewfinder even if in a bright light setting or with my hand covering the lens.

When i use the manuel aperture settings, the red tongue also just never turns up in darkness or light.

There is no film in the camera currently if that makes a difference.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice.
    Thanks
