Fuji Film recently introduced the world’s first ISO 3200 point-and-shoot digital camera: the Fuji FinePix F30.

Previously off-limits to compact cameras due to the inherent “noise” produced by ISO 3200 sensitivity and available only for mainly professional cameras, the new F30 attains it full 6.1 megapixel capacity at IS0 3200 sensitivity ratings due mainly to the new processor technology and an advanced, sixth-generation CCD sensor from Fuji that produces less noise. The F30 also features an advanced picture stabilization mode in which the camera automatically sets the light sensitivity and shutter speed for the highest quality results. With this camera, Fuji hopes to change the trend digital photography by giving casual photographers new flexibility to capture images that they have never experienced before.

According to Fuji, their new SCCD HR6 sensor of Fuji can transform light to digital signals more efficiently compared to other CCDs. The HR6 can achieve an unprecedented level of sensitivity not found before on a compact DSC. Fuji ensures that with their new super CCD sensor, even the smallest amount of light can be efficiently and accurately captured for processing as image elements.

With this camera, Fuji introduces i-Flash, their newest flash technology. i-Flash measures the subjects regardless their position within a frame and optimizes the amount of flash and the exposure level. With i-Flash, images are much less likely to be washed out by the light burst from the flash and can reproduce the skin tones and facial features accurately even at highest ISO setting.

While the camera is already available at the U.S. mainland, Europe and Japan, there’s no news when this camera would be available here at our local shores.
