DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG CAMERA! Samsung S730 Digital Cameras are POS! Piece of JUNK!
Don’t waste your money on a Samsung digital camera. This is the 2nd Samsung digital that I have owned. The first one I purchased, and the second one was given to me new as a Christmas gift. Although I take the utmost care of my gear, these cameras are completely worthless. Do not waste you time or money on these cameras!!!! Buy a decent, better quality brand such as Sony. I have had an older Kodak EasyShare CX7330 that I bought in January 2005 which still works fairly decent. It is the camera I used to make this video with, and althogh it does not have the clarity or resolution of the Samsung or the Sony, IT STILL WORKS! So, if I can make a small dent in Samsung’s profits by telling you that their cameras are complete worthless pieces of shit, so be it. Anyone else have any other similar experiences?

ya thats the exact same thing that heppend to me i have the samsung sl105 and i barley got it 4 months ago this stinks
i have a samsung L100, i was very happy with it until ….. well the exact same problem as yours
buuullsh*t!
yeah thats what happened to mine only after 6 months of use i was thinking of going with something more durable and was thinking of getting the panasonic lumix dmc- fp8 or olympus any thoughts anyone.
nah, ur right. I have this S730 camera and it sucks. The pics look good when it actually takes pictures. It switches settings by itself and the flash wont work making all the pics come out blurry.
i have that kinda camera and had it for 4 years and still works fine and it went threw alot of abuse sand water and dropping it.
Perhaps it was a faulty design, then, and not the way I treated my equipment.
Indeed, but it only takes just a bit of dust to screw up the lens protector on many cameras. Happened to my Canon.
I have cameras, radios and even old desktop computers from the late 70’s an early 80’s that still work fine. And this digital camera doesn’t work? I’d say I’m doing something right with my electronics to keep most of them working so long.
And, my video title specifically mentions cameras. I did not say “ALL Samsung products are shit.” I only mentioned the camera that I bought.
It’s likely not the camera, rather the way you treat it. I’ve seen Nikons and Canons do the exact same thing. And just because ONE MODEL of their cameras SEEMINGLY doesn’t work without glitching doesn’t mean any of their other products are defective.
Yeah…. it’s a Samsung!
uhm i have the exact same one and when i turn it on the screen is just black do you know why?
Takes one to know one, fag.
he’s a fag
hello there!!! also m,e i have a problem to my camera samsung L730,so i go to the shop samsung i talk the one staff he said, they ganna fix the camera but u have to pay charge,so he said its better buy new camera!its like you wasting your money to pay for charge.its better buy new camera what the hell..
I had this camera. Instead of the lens not opening.. The focuser thing (i’m not an expert in cameras) would pop out when you turn it on and go back in. It beeped and said low batteries and shit. You know what I did to it after? Smashed it with a hammer.
yea i’ve bought to different samsung camera’s and they both broke. And the batteries are horrible!!
Yeh i have two different types L100 and one other one that was like 10.2 M and both did the same thing urs did. its really sad i paid for two cams and now i dont have any.
All I ever use are rechargeables. I’ve used rechargeables since the 80’s.
you just were lucky enough to get a bad batch. Ive had mine for 2 years now and it is still the best camera I have had. invest in some rechargeable AAs and the batteries will last a thousand times longer, I guarantee it.
I generally tried to use Duracells, but when they weren’t available, or if they would go dead, I’d sometimes resort to rechargeables. I nudge my lens cover open with my fingernail, too, but it’s a pain in the ass. The camera takes good pictures otherwise, but I despise using it because of the lenscover issue. Now I only use the camera as a “spare”, and only if I absolutely have to.
I won’t buy another Samsung.
Did you use rechargable nickel metal hydride batteries? I had brief trouble with the lens cover not opening fully but nudged it with my finger tip. I’ve shot hundreds of rolls of 35mm film thru a Minolta SLR as a serious amateur for decades and I’m pleased with my Samsung s730. Hey, it’s a pink one, too.
I havent had that problem with mine (yet most likely) the problem ive been haveing with mine is i put brand-new, brand-name batteries in it and i can only take 15-20 pic before the batteries are 100% dead
Takes one to know one, you fucking homo.
